The decorations are down, the champagne drunk and the new year is in full swing. I’d like to take this opportunity to thanks those of you who have supported me and welcome new readers with a sneak peak of my upcoming novel, Forget-Me-Not.

Her life depends on a man she can’t remember.

His future depends on a woman he can’t forget.

Sarah Hall had everything she wanted in life. A man who loved her, a job she enjoyed and the joyful memories her deceased parent’s had left her with.

But when her world comes crumbling around her and even her memories are stolen, will she have the strength to recall her past to save her future.

Jake Porter knew he loved Sarah the moment he saw her. He also knew she was unattainable.

All of that changed the moment he found her, near death, on the floor of his construction warehouse.

Now protecting her was his only priority. Yet when her past catches up with her and everything is at stake, will their love be enough to save them?

*Snow fell lightly, landing in frozen patterns that momentarily decorated the window before blowing away or melting in a single drop of water that slid down the glass like happy tears. A young girl bounced gaily in the backset within the confines of her seatbelt and talked excitedly about the tree they would pick for Christmas that year.

A car sped by, the face of the driver smiling but it wasn’t a happy smile. Reminding the child of a night she hid on the staircase and watched a movie where an ugly clown wielding a knife smiled upon its victim. She had learned that night that not all smiles were friendly.

Through the eyes of the child, Sarah helplessly watched the macabre fragments of the scene unfold before her as a noise ground out like the roar of an angry animal and a jolt sent the world spinning until the snow became a tornado around the car. Metal twisted sickeningly as the glass that held such delicate snowflakes shattered and the wind howled through, overshadowed only by the screams of the occupants.

Another roar and the car toppled, end over end giving the child the impression of being inside of one of the little snow globes that sat upon her bedroom shelf. With a final groan the car fell still and silent.

There was blood, so much blood that mingled with the crushed fragments of glass that they shone like rubies. Fog shrouded the outside of the car, leaking its pungent fumes in through the broken windows.

As Sarah drifted above the wreckage she was consumed with frustration, powerlessness and grief.

She woke with a scream bubbling in her throat sitting bolt upright as cold sweat bled down her face like the melted snowflakes of her dream.

Ah, Labor Day. The official end of summer. Most of us will celebrate with family and friends enjoying backyard barbecues or even a dip in the pool. While we celebrate the working men and women, let’s not forget those who keep us safe while we frolic in the last of the summer fun. For example, the hard working firemen who not only put out fires but start a few burning sensations as well;   and remember to thank those who stand in places we don’t want to know exist   and have given everything for our freedom.

Let Freedom Ring!

With a prominent member of The Marquis, the vampire ruling council, intent of coming to Leah’s hometown, the threat of Chaos touching everyone she loves brings her down a path that leads to Joaquin Wildhorse and Ian Nightwalker once again.

Is Leah willing to risk her heart to save the small desert town she loves?

Excerpt:

After one particularly long night, I poured myself a glass of wine and filled the tub. As I was about to ease into the rose-scented water, the bathroom light went out. I reached for the gun I had left on the counter before I realized that only the bathroom light had gone out. The hallway was still lit and I could still hear the soft music I’d left playing in the living room. The bulb had to be broken.

Making a mental note to pick up some spare light bulbs tomorrow, I pulled matches out of a drawer and lit the scented candle on the counter. I sank into the tub as the candlelight flickered and the scent of jasmine filled the room. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. That’s when I realized I was no longer alone.
